Based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, the position will be responsible for health system capacity diagnostic activities to determine priority areas for the HHISP.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Facilitating capacity diagnostics and analyses in response to AusAID Tasking Notes to recommend the most appropriate form of capacity building/technical assistance (TA) in the health and HIV/AIDS field
• Supporting the sourcing and mobilising appropriate capacity building /TA
• Working with the Burnet Institute team in the oversight of procurement for operational research into health system issues;
• Supporting the collection of gender disaggregated baseline and outputs level data to enable reporting against Monitoring and Evaluation Frameworks
• Supporting HIV/AIDS Program civil society grant program recipients with collection of gender disaggregated baseline and outputs level data for civil society grants program, including the establishment of a Quality at Implementation database
You will have:
• Significant experience providing advisory support to health institutions in an international development context
• Strong knowledge and experience in Health and HIV.
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience within large international programs and an understanding of AusAID programs within the Pacific (preferable)
• Experience in the use of quantitative and qualitative approaches to monitoring of results
