BIDPA seeks to recruit qualified people for the following position:
POSITION: RESEARCH FELLOW (Botswana Citizens only)
Location: Gaborone, Botswana
Remuneration: Negotiable
Duration: five years

Main Purpose of the Job: To complete research and consultancy assignments in accordance with client expectations, within agreed deadlines and budget.

Education and Experience: Research Fellow should have a Master’s or PhD degree in economics with a thorough grounding in economic theory (microeconomics, macroeconomics) and quantitative methods and at least one of the following areas: Macroeconomic Modelling, Labour Economics or International Economics. Applicants should have at least four (4) years post Master’s degree work experience.

Knowledge, Attributes and Skills: Good understanding of theoretical economics concepts, research methodology and statistical methods; Ability to write and present research reports clearly and concisely for both technical and non-technical audiences; Good communication and report writing skills; Computer literacy; Ability to work within a team; and Good knowledge of BIDPA services.
