Main purpose
of the job

To participate in the development and maintenance of effective standard-setting
processes, audit practice/engagement reviews, financial reporting and corporate
governance reviews of Public Interest Entities in accordance with applicable
local and international accounting, auditing and corporate governance standards
under the direction of the Chief Reviewer and Technical Director.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Audit, Business/ Administration
or related qualification.
Chartered
Accountant and member of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants
(BICA) or any other member bodies of PAFA or IFAC.

Experience:

A
minimum of 7 years post qualification audit experience.
Up to
date with the latest developments in the accountancy profession.
High
level proficiency in report writing and the use of MS office programs.

ABOUT BAOA (MANDATE)
The principal objective of the Authority is to provide oversight to the
accounting and auditing profession and promote the standard, quality and
credibility of providing financial and non-financial information by entities.
Its functions include standard setting, financial/non-financial reporting and
audit practice reviews, enforcement of compliance and oversight over the education
and training of professional accountants in Botswana.
