Consultant needed for a leading University based in Sydney. This position will
involve interacting with students and providing one on one career guidance and
support for students seeking opportunities within the legal sector.
To be suitable for this opportunity you must possess a CICA endorsed
qualification. The minimum requirement to be a Career Cons
ultant in Australia
is a Graduate Certificate in Careers Education and Development.
This position will be dedicated to Faculty of Law for a minimum of 2 days a
week but has the potential to extend to 4 days a week to assist other faculties
for the right candidate.
As the successful candidate you will be required to:
- Create
awareness amongst Law students of the support offered by the careers
team. - Develop
a program to support students applying for summer clerkships. - Develop
a program to support students applying for graduate programs. - Represent
the careers team at Law faculty events. - Develop
and facilitate workshops for Law students. - Oversee
Law Career events with the support of careers team. - Collaborate
with the Law Student Society and The Law Society of NSW to support
students. - Support
Law students seeking careers outside Law through workshops, consultations
and events.
ideal candidate will:
– Have legal recruitment experience or a legal degree with
general recruitment experience
– Possess excellent communication skills.
– Be a confident facilitator with experience in developing
and delivering careers education to large audiences.
– have experience working with individuals one on one,
providing them with career guidance.
