The
Finance Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining financial
accounting and book keeping system. He/she will also assist in strategic
planning and budgeting, maintaining efficient financial accounting standards
and reporting, monitoring and controlling our financial management
system. Familiarity with USAID guidelines is an added advantage.

Qualifications
an

Degree
in Accountancy from a recognised institution, Excellent communication skills,
Must be computer literate with high proficiency in spreadsheets, Knowledge of
QuickBooks will be an added advantage, Must have 5 yrs experience in a busy
accounting office

Any
other duties as assigned, Ability to multitask effectively, Prepare and
maintain accurate payroll records in accordance with Malawi Govt rules and
regulations, Prepare and examine financial documents and other documents for
payment and processing and ensure the completeness, accuracy and validity of
financial data, including accounting classifications and computations, Monitor
program Bank accounts, take corrective action as required and recommended by
auditors and management if necessary, Ensure that required and sufficient
controls are in place, are adhered to and maintained at all times, Administer
the BCM/Malawi financial and accounting procedures and other best practices,
Prepare advance requests, Assist the program in undertaking financial planning
activities such as preparing budgets and budget revision requests, Prepare and
submit all monthly, quarterly and annual reports related to program finances
required by donors and program management within set deadlines
