The
area of the study was Eku Community in Ethiope East Local Government Area Delta
State. Eku Community is bounded in the south by Sanubi Community, in the North by
Igun Community, in the West by Oria Community and in the East by Okurekpo
Community. The community has several facilities which include Eku General
Hospital, Tuberculosis and Leprosy Referral Centre, government owned primary
and secondary school, private primary and secondary schools, police station and
so many medium and small scale private owned businesses. The indigenous
language of the people of Eku Community is the Urhobo Language and the major occupation
is farming and trading.
