Purpose of Post
• To service
customers with food and beverages of their choice, whilst ensuring quality
foods and an overall excellent guest
experience.
Main Duties Include
• Receiving
customers and ensuring that they are ushered in with a warm smile.
• Presenting the menu to the customer, taking orders and serving the customer
food and/or beverages of their choice.
• Collecting cash payments from customers and making change, or charging
purchases to customers’ credit cards and providing customers with receipts.
• Housekeeping; cleaning floors, tables, toilets and display units as and when
the need arises. Also ensuring that sauce, salt and pepper shakers are in clean
condition.
• Providing guests with useful information such as promotions and menu contents
Minimum Requirements
(Qualifications, Experience & Competencies)
The Person must
have;
• At least 1year post qualification experience in a Hospitality industry
• Completed Junior Certificate level
• A strong practical understanding of basic customer service
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• English language speaking skills
• Ability to work long hours standing on one’s feet
