To support our
growing business, we are seeking an experienced Civil Draftsperson for our
Adelaide or Sydney Office who has had more than 5 years experience in civil
design drafting. Reporting to the company directors, the Draftsperson will work
on civil design projects. High level competence in AUTOCAD, DRAINS and CIVIL 3D
is essential for this role.
Also advantageous to
this role would be experienced in structural drafting and the use of Revit,
Magnet and HEC-RES software, but not essential.
Key
Components of the Position
include the following:
Drafting
- Visualisation
of ideas – visualise the engineers’ ideas into drawings. - Have
experience in delivering industrial, commercial and residential structures
essential. - Experience
in stormwater management, WSUD, roadworks and earthworks essential. - Organisation
of work to meet project deadlines. - Complete
assigned drafting work on time, and to agreed specifications. - Quickly
build reputation for accuracy, timeliness in completing work assignments. - Seek
feedback from Engineers and clients on quality of work. - Keep
key stakeholders fully informed. - Promptly
respond to client queries calls and proactively resolve client request /
enquiry. - Sound
technical intuition.
Drafting
Knowledge & Skill
- High
level competence in AUTOCAD, DRAINS and CIVIL 3D is essential for this
role. - Sound
computer knowledge – XL, Outlook, Word. - Experience
in structural drafting and the use of Revit, Magnet and HEC-RES software
would be advantageous, but not essential. - Ability
to learn new software. - Awareness
of compliance standards that impact work projects. - Experience
with structural documentation would be advantageous.
Relationships:
- Building
and maintaining high level relationships with Clients, Contractors and
Suppliers. - Developing
constructive relationships with Directors and staff, and work within the
resource structure of the organisation (permanent staff and contractors)
to achieve best project outcomes.
Compliance
- Knowledge
of compliance with Australian codes, standards and industry regulations
Key Personal
Requirements
to be successful in this role:
- Minimum
5 years’ local civil engineering design documentation experience. - High
level competence in AUTOCAD, DRAINS and CIVIL 3D - Strong
attention to detail. - Visualisation
of ideas. - Ability
to consistently meet deadlines. - Analytical
skills. - Excellent
verbal and written communication skills. - Excellent
management skills. - Respect
for others.
Business
Location and Benefits:
Located in our
Adelaide (Unley) office, this full time position will report to Triaxial’s
South Australian based Director. Alternatively, a Sydney location is an option
if preferred.
