Job Summary: The
Electro-Mechanical Supervisor will mainly support the Power Manager in ensuring
that all power systems, including but not limited to diesel generators, hybrid
systems, utility supply DC power Systems and AVR’s, are operating optimally and
that all efficiencies possible is being harvested from such systems. The role
will look at improving the maintenance and refurbishment processes to extend
the lifecycles to deliver better performance.
Electro-Mechanical Supervisor will mainly support the Power Manager in ensuring
that all power systems, including but not limited to diesel generators, hybrid
systems, utility supply DC power Systems and AVR’s, are operating optimally and
that all efficiencies possible is being harvested from such systems. The role
will look at improving the maintenance and refurbishment processes to extend
the lifecycles to deliver better performance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively coordinate and implement the resolution
of all issues with maintenance contractors - Evaluate, identify and recommend configuration
changes to generators, rectifiers and Air conditioners - Intuitively monitor and track warranty issues on
generators, hybrid , DC power systems and AVR’s. - Work together with Utility providers towards
quick resolution of faults - Carry out changes needed to support collocation
and future expansions - Identify performance problems in all the power
systems and give probable solutions. - Plan, design, monitor and maintain all
electromechanical installation at ATC assets. - Research and Identify ideas and processes to
enhance power systems performance. - Actively participate in the design of effective
and efficient methods of low cost operation of the generators and hybrid
systems. - Compile and send through weekly power systems
operational performance reports.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a high school diploma or
Equivalent, Electromechanical Engineering - Five or more years’ experience in
Telecommunications site operations. - Good problem solving
- Possess the ability to identify problems and make
recommendations quickly - Proven technical knowledge
- Ability to manage projects, ensuring that
projects are clearly defined, systematically executed, and results
oriented - Ability to share knowledge
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating
system software - Highly capable of working independently and delivering
appropriate and timely feedback to senior team members and management as
required
