Under the direction of the Operational Services Supervisor we are currently looking for a highly motivated individual with strong organizational and communication skills. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, distributing and inventorying all items coming into and out of the Provincial Warehouse. Knowledge of warehouse practices, transporting dangerous goods, and WHMIS would help you in the handling and shipping of goods. Experience with inventory management systems will assist you in basic data entry.

Successful candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment. The position involves a significant amount of physical activity in its daily operations and candidates should be able to handle this requirement.

Qualifications
Some high school and related experience is required. Knowledge of computers and skills using Microsoft Windows and/or computerized inventory management systems is also required. Forklift certification, First Aid, WHMIS, and Transportation of Dangerous Goods certificate are all desirable assets. Equivalencies will be considered. A valid Class 5 driver’s licence is also required.
Salary $19.42 to $23.60 per hour

Notes
This is a seven month wage position with no guarantees of an extension. Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification and salary. This competition may be used to fill current and future vacancies across government.
