Air Force recognises the critical nature of your day-to-day responsibilities.
Therefore your training and deployment as a Reservist will be structured to fit
in with your current employment and lifestyle commitments, and there is a
minimum obligation of just seven days service a year.

when a deployment is announced – whether it’s a training exercise or part of an
emergency response – you’ll always be given the option of whether or not to
participate, and when.

Life
in the Air Force Specialist Reserve is like nothing else. Ours is a unique

Pay
As
a Reservist your pay is tax-free and the rate will depend on your experience
and qualifications. But most medical specialists with a Fellowship start at
$507.27 per day.
Location
Following
training at RAAF Base East Sale (VIC), which generally takes six days, you
could be deployed anywhere your specialist skills are required to support both
military and civilian needs.

Requirements
You
must be an Australian Citizen and have the appropriate qualifications for the
medical discipline applied-for.
