a manufacturer of highly nutritious quality fortified foods. Our nutrition
products are intended to address malnutrition among vulnerable population
segments such as pregnant and breast-feeding mothers, older infants and young
children especially in the first 1,000 days of their life. To this end, we plan
to avail on a commercial scale nutritional products for lifestyle consumer
groups in Rwanda and the whole East African Region.

Purpose of
the job
The aim of the IT
Coordinator is to manage and/or execute operational activities leading to an
optimal use of the ICT Technical Infrastructure, office environment,
office-cloud services and local business applications by the end-users.
Job Context
The local IT
Management Organization is responsible for driving, coordinating and
facilitating the delivery of IT services to the site, in such a way that
business expectations, company IT guidelines, standards and policies are met.
Main

operates in close cooperation with:

Key
Responsibilities
- Responsible
for running the IT environment at a daily basis: taking care of all needed
maintenance and support activities needed to ensure a secure and highly
available IT infrastructure and office services. - Responsible
for the File server and ERP server needed for delivering a stable working
environment for all office and ERP users. This includes taking care of
back-ups, storage and all routine it maintenance. - Responsible
to investigate possibilities to improve the efficiency of the ICT infra
and – office environment and local Business applications; - Responsible
to support, promote and stimulate end-users in optimal usage of the ICT
office environment; - Responsible
to advise and support end-users as a ICT User Help service - Responsible
to coordinate the ICT services , being to liaison to local IT vendors or
cloud providers; - Responsible
to judge, guide and control complaints and escalations; - Responsible
to interpret and translate business requirements regarding the ICT
infrastructure; - Responsible
for the management of hardware spares and maintenance contracts.
Leadership
Skills
- Authorized
to execute all operational activities and align with IT manager on
tactical issues; - Authorized
to provide direct feedback to local IT suppliers to ensure that the
quality of service delivered to the business meets the agreed SLA; - Authorized
to take appropriate actions in case of security incidents; - Authorized
to act as information point for ICT Service Desk and end users; - Authorized
to act as communication channel to end-users in case of failures,
scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance of ICT Technical Infrastructure
which leads to user impact on the workplace and on application
environments.
SHE
He/she observes the
SHE regulations and fulfils a warning function when regulations are not met or
when a dangerous situation occurs.
Security
He/she observes the
Security regulations, takes care to be aware, trained and completed formal
registration (e.g. Non-Disclosure Agreement) and fulfils a warning function
when regulations are not met or when an insecure situation occurs.
IT/Infrastructure
Project Management Skills
- Participates
in AIF IT infrastructure project to ensure the most effective and cost
efficient change and / or implementation of end user functionalities; - Dependent
on the wishes of the business the ICT Coordinator may also fill in other
roles like: Purchase Requisition, Goods Receiver, Local Information
Security Officer and Business Application Management; - He/she
observes the SHE regulations and fulfils a warning function when
regulations are not met or when a dangerous situation occurs; - He/she
observes the Security regulations, takes care to be aware, trained and
completed formal registration (e.g. Non-Disclosure Agreement) and fulfils
a warning function when regulations are not met or when an insecure
situation occurs.
Knowledge and
educational level
Educational level:
- At
least Bachelor’s degree in ICT or any related field - Knowledge
of ICT Technical Infrastructure, preferably Microsoft and Cisco
certificates; - Knowledge
of business needs and practices related to the use of ICT resources and
services; - Information
Technology Infrastructure Library service delivery knowledge, preferably
ITIL foundations.
Other related
skills:
- Strong
service and technical delivery skills (helpdesk support and problem
solving to the end user’s satisfaction; - Ability
to maintain network infrastructure such as switches and routers,
and diagnoses problems with these or with the behaviour of
network-attached computers; - Experience
in managing computer and network security, including the administration of
security devices such as firewalls, as well as consulting on general
security measures; - Strong
communication skills on operational and tactical level (in English and the
language of the region);
Required
level of experiences
- Experience
with ICT service provision > 4 years - Experience
with IT Projects, preferably as Project Lead - Experience
in working with integrated ERP systems
