Title: Area
Project Manager

Job
Summary

The
Area Manager will be based in Bade, Yobe State and report to the Field
Coordinator.
He/she
will be responsible for the proper implementation and completion of
project throughout its different phases as well as the appropriate
management of its specific scope, schedule, resources, quality, risks,
representation, coordination and contractual requirements.

Task
and Responsibilities

Finalizing
and managing the update and implementation of the project(s) Detailed
Implementation Plan (DIP).
Developing
detailed monthly/weekly implementation plans for your staff in order to
achieve the activities in the PIP.
Managing
the Project(s) Scope Documents (PSDs) such as Project Procurement plan,
Monitoring and evaluation plan, Work Breakdown Structure, etc. as well as
ensuring regular update of these documents in order to maintain a strong
record of the project(s).
Overseeing
the implementation of project(s) as per donor regulations with periodic
field visits to other project(s) to strengthen the mission’s information
and best practice sharing; and encourage the development of innovative
approach.
Staying
abreast of, and manage field operations as to the prevailing security,

all project(s) staff are provided with a full induction and are briefed on
all relevant components of the project(s).
Identifying
need based training and liaising with HR team to develop, plan and
implement relevant training plans for each team member.

Developing
a data collection and entry plan complete with tools and timeline
integrated into the PSDs and PIPs in line with the mission’s M&E

Preparing

Tracking
the progress of activities and outcomes as well as ensuring the tracking
of relevant indicators.
Developing
systematic mechanism for lesson learnt on the mission’s programs for
advocacy activities.

Requirements
The Successful Candidate Will:

Have
at least a master’s degree in project management, social sciences,
health/nutrition, development or other related field with proven
multi-sector project cycle management experience at a senior level for at
least 2 years in an INGO.
Have
demonstrated experience in financial management and preparation of budgets
for programming as well as advisory experience in managing multiple
projects.
Be
conversant with ECHO, EU, OFDA and/or DFID reporting and regulations.
Have
experience in managing medium to large-sized teams.
Have

Job
Title: Base
Finance and Administrative Officer

Job
Summary

The
Base Finance and Administrative Officer will be based in Bade, Yobe state
and report to the Area Project Manager. He/she will manage the cash/bank
and the accountancy of the base, budget maintenance, cash forecast and
cash flow.
The
Finance and Admin Officer will also provide administrative support to the
HR department in various aspects of the recruitment process as well as
staff training and development.

Responsibilities

Ensure
bank books & cash book are closed, reconciled & sent to capital on
monthly basis together with the bank reconciliation & cash counts.
Ensure
compliance with the mission’s procurement procedure.
Verify

guidelines.
Archive
financial files, keep copies at the base & send original to capital on

Maintain

Manage

Title: Base
Logistician

Summary

The
Base Logistician will be based in Bade, Yobe State and report to the Area
Project Manager.
The
Base Log will provide support to the logistics department in the
management of the logistics supply chain, equipments, means of
communication and the vehicle fleet.
He/she
will also manage the base logistics team and follow HR related issues,
manage all rehabilitation and maintenance of office and premises, ensure

Ensuring
KitLogV3.3 procedures are followed in regards to supply chain including

The
Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) Officer will be based in Bade, Yobe

Officer will be responsible for providing technical support and capacity
building in IYCF program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation,
support and coordinate micro nutrient supplementation, maternal, newborn

Responsibilities

Providing
technical support in planning, implementation and monitoring of key IYCF
interventions by working closely with State authorities as well as the ACF
State technical advisor and nutrition program manager.
Providing
technical support in the design and implementation of operational research
to identify barriers and facilitators of optimal breastfeeding and
complimentary feeding practices.
Working
closely with LGA TA and staff at health facilities to establish, supervise
and to provide strong follow up of mother support groups to promote
appropriate IYCF practices.
Planning

and key community figures (traditional leaders, religious leaders and hair
dressers and others) to promote optimal breastfeeding and complimentary

Summary

The
Local Government Area Technical Advisors will be based in
Bade/Machina/Fika, Yobe State and report to the Area Project Manager.
He/she
will support the assigned local government area (LGA) in nutrition program
planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
He/she
will ensure free flow of information and support coordination of
activities between Action Against Hunger, its government counterparts and
other partners.
The
Local Government Area Technical Advisor will also provide technical
support to the coordination of micro nutrient supplementation and Maternal
New Born and Child Health (MNCH) including strengthening the technical and
advocacy capacity at the LGA level.

Key
Tasks and Responsibilities

Providing
technical support in planning, implementation and monitoring of key IYCF
interventions by working closely with the nutrition focal persons (NFP)
and MCH expert at LGA level.
Working
closely with NFP to support operational researches to identify barriers
and facilitators of optimal breastfeeding and complimentary feeding
practices.
Ensuring
community nutrition volunteers are working together with IYCF support
group.
Supporting
the development of key messages and behavioral change communication

Title: Nutrition
CMAM Officer

Summary

The
Nutrition CMAM Officer will be based in Bade, Yobe State and work under
the supervision of the Nutrition Deputy Project Manager.
He/she
will play a key role in the implementation of community health groups
(CHGs) within the community for each health facility targeted by the CMAM
component.

will conduct health capacity assessments and also ensure the functionality
and linkage between community nutritional screening and health facilities.
The

Directly

selection of treasurers and secretaries of the groups.

in the development of joint activity work plans with key stakeholders in
the state and within ACF

that all IYCF interventions are fully integrated, scaled-up and

Supervise

harmonized.
He/she
will also track the progress of key indicators and provide timely report.

Responsibilities
The task and responsibilities for this position includes but are not limited
to;

Supporting
the M&E team in the pilot data collection and integration of findings
by providing feedback to the M & E Deputy Project Manager.
Reviewing
and developing M & E systems for new projects, lead on the
implementation of qualitative and participatory tools, including focus
group discussions.
Working
closely with the team and other project team to ensure timely and quality
data entry, analysis and interpretation.
Under
taking regular field visits and monitor the design and execution of
