Introduction:
Health Development
Initiative-Rwanda (HDI) is a not-for-profit organization based in Kigali, striving to
improve both the quality and accessibility of healthcare for all Rwandans
through advocacy, education, and provision of inclusive services. HDI supports
community and health systems strengthening and works to empower individuals
with tools and knowledge to advance the health of their communities, so that
all Rwandans may lead healthy lives, free from preventable disease and premature
mortality.
It is in this regard that HDI
with support from NPA is hiring a consultant/firm to design and print300
friendly booklets of the law No.49 establishing Medical
liabilityinsurance (rights of patients and health services users) and the
school health policy to be used in creation of awareness among HDI target
beneficiaries.
Tasks and
responsibilities:
The consultant/firm will be
working closely with HDI programs Director and the Coordinator of the HDI
center for health and Rights; he/she will have the following responsibilities:
- To design and produce 300 copies of the simplified
versions of the two documents mentioned above - Collaborate with HDI to implement and disseminate
booklets to a joint half -day meeting with key stakeholders to validate
the content.
Outputs of the
Consultancy:
- Weekly updates on the progress about the assignment by
email, - Draft (s) booklet (format to be agreed during the phase
of signing a contract), - Oral presentation to key stakeholders of the draft
booklet in the dissemination meeting, - Final booklet afterincorporating feedback received
during the dissemination meeting.
Skills and experience:
- Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda,
- Able to write an informative friendly booklets in both
English and Kinyarwanda, - Ability to engage government institutions to provide
required documentations and be able assess and understand health policy
especially in sexual and reproductive health and rights, - Good communication and writing skills,
- Ability to organize and facilitate dialogue with key
stakeholders. - Experience in designing and publishing booklets,
