• In the role of Principal Project Manager you will lead and manage the concept planning, project design, development, and implementation phases of the project/s in close liaison with advisors and other key stakeholders.
• Identify and harness the necessary internal and external expertise to deliver project requirements, including advising on the selection, engagement, and procurement of consultants.
• Lead and manage the project team, consultants, and contractors to ensure all members are appropriately skilled and utilised, and monitor and report on project progress against predetermined time, cost, and quality specifications
• Prepare and deliver submissions and reports relating to planning and technical issues, and identify appropriate mitigation strategies to overcome problems or obstacles related to the project/s.
• investigate and resolve complex civil construction issues associated with the project to improve overall performance and ensure value for money.
• Contribute to public consultation activities and ensure that effective liaison is undertaken with community, local governments, and other major stakeholders.
• Act as ‘Representative of the Principal’ for the delivery of contracts, as defined and delegated at respective development/implementation phases.
• A Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent Civil Engineering qualification which is accepted by Engineers Australia is a requirement of this position
• Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory for permanent appointment to the position.
