Charles Sturt University and New South Wales Police Force have established the School of Policing Studies under a collaborative arrangement to provide recruit and continuing police education. The School is the largest provider of tertiary police education in Australia and is located at the NSW Police Force Academy.
The School of Policing Studies is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals in various areas of specialisation of policing and law enforcement including; operational policing, investigation (investigative interviewing and practices); criminal law and procedure; road safety; drug enforcement and harm minimisation; policing and society; community policing, professional ethics; communications; leadership and management.
Teaching Fellows will teach and undertake subject development in undergraduate policing programs for internal students. They will have a strong background in Policing. Teaching Fellows are expected to demonstrate a strong collegial commitment towards the ongoing development of the School, maintain best practice standards in teaching, and contribute to the wider community. Maintaining sound relationships with industry agencies is an integral component of these positions.

Applicants please note fixed term appointments may be up to 1 year in length. Fractional appointments may also be considered. The salary level and length of appointment will be determined, based on the candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience.
