As a major primary health care provider, Latrobe Community Health Service (LCHS) is continually growing and improving its services around the Latrobe Valley and Gippsland region. Having a partnership with Latrobe City Council in delivering on the Latrobe Community Prevention Model, LCHS is managing a range of interventions within schools, workplaces, and the communities.
As part of a new prevention workforce team, the Manager Primary Prevention will be responsible for managing the implementation of the interventions and the Gippsland Work Health Program. You will bring a combination of experience and knowledge in practices of health promotion and obesity and disease prevention.
To be successful in this role you must have:
• A tertiary qualification in health
• Proven management experience
• Experience in developing new programs/services
• Significant level of knowledge & understanding of the principles & practices of health promotion
• Highly developed organisational and interpersonal skills
• The ability to monitor and manage budgets
• Experience in Continuous Quality Improvement activities including documentation of policies and procedures
• Experience in managing an inter-professional team
• A current police record check and driving license
