The role: 
Reporting to the Distribution Manager you will
contribute to the Company’s profitability and growth through establishing and
maintaining a professional, efficient and courteous service level in all
aspects of contact with customers and consumers

Your major responsibilities will include: 

  • Supervising and training a team of four
    Customer Service Clerks
  • Provide professional customer and consumer
    support in all areas of enquiries, complaints and product
    information 
  • Coordinate and process manual orders and
    accurate and timely processing of automated customer orders (Electronic
    Data Interchange – EDI System
    )
  • Coordinate efficient resolution and processing
    of customer claims and establish methods to monitor and eliminate
    incidence  
  • Maintain. measure and report against key
    customer service indices
  • Work with IT and Distribution Manager to
    ensure the EAPL system functions effectively and efficiently
  • Assist the Distribution Manager with adhoc
    projects as required
  • Reception relief duties when required
  • Responsible for customer support functions
    including :- Sales Returns, liaison with warehouse and distribution
    centres and interaction with Sales and Receivables divisions
  • Manage complaints and take
    ownership  
To be considered for this position you will have: 
  • Minimum 2 years previous Team Leader
    experience in an FMCG environment is essential for this position
  • Experienced in people management – coaching,
    leading, motivating staff
  • EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) order
    management experience is essential 
  • Familiar with supply chain process
  • Ability to deal with difficult
    consumers/customers
  • Sound knowledge of ERP systems  and
    process problem solving ability
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Highly established organisational skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Data Entry skills with high level of accuracy
  • Ability to prioritise and meet critical
    deadlines
  • Intermediate MS Office
