Mind Connections,Medical Administration Officer /Secretary

We are looking to complement our
practice with a bright and bubbly Medical Personal Assistant who is always
willing to put the patient first.

Excellent presentation and
communication skills are vital.

The position is part time for 3
days per week including T

hursday nights till 9pm. Training with software will
be given on site. Applicants are required to have an adaptable and flexible
approach to work and a high level of attention to detail. The role would be
based at our Norwest & Carlingford Practices. Frequent travel between
practices will be required. It may be required to work at the front desk
reception desk if required.

Key
responsibilities:  

All administrative aspects of patient care including dictation

  • Reception duties including phone calls and meet and
    greet
  • General administration duties (filing, faxing, letter
    writing, scanning and photocopying, etc.)
  • Patient invoicing and receipting including Private,
    Medicare and DVA
  • Appointment bookings, billings and banking of all monies
    received
  • Co-ordinating correspondence
  • Operation of Practice Management Software – Best
    Practice & E- Claims
  • Liaising regularly with the Directors, Doctors, Allied
    Health Professionals and Receptionists
  • Accounts and Payroll
  • Policy & Procedure – Creation/ Updates

Essential Skills and
Experience:

  • A prior administrative role within a specialist practice
  • A genuine desire to provide high quality service to the
    Doctors, Allied Health Professionals, patients and referrers
  • The ability to develop and implement new practice
    systems
  • Understanding and experience of Microsoft Office Suite
    (PC) Excellent organisation and time management skills with a can do
    attitude
  • You must have good written and spoken English language
    skills

  • Commensurate with experience
