The
Opportunity
The Educational
Designer is responsible for providing a broad range of specialist design,
development and assessment expertise in educational design to academic and
professional staff across the faculty to effect a smooth transition to new
educational approaches, educational technologies, and use of learning spaces as
part of the Better Teaching, Better Learning Agenda.
As the successful
candidate you will work with a team of educational designers as well as content
and multimedia developers to deliver effective and innovative education design
and unit enhancement on behalf of the faculty and with reference to the
Educational Innovation Community of Practice. In this challenging role, you
will develop a comprehensive shared understanding of educational issues,
educational methodologies and technology issues facing the faculty. In
partnership with a range of key stakeholders, you will make a significant
contribution to the development of education resources, provide consultative
support, educational advice and guidance to academic and professional staff.
To succeed, you will
possess a relevant degree with extensive experience and expertise in
educational design, or an equivalent combination of relevant knowledge,
extensive training and/or experience.
