Loddon
Prison Officer vacancies – (male medium security) – large and spacious with
gardens, work industries and TAFE courses
- Life
experience and maturity is highly regarded; being aware and engaged in
your surroundings is paramount to mitigate risk to yourself and others - Individuals
with various backgrounds such as manufacturing, construction,
building, butchery, farming, plumbing and other trades and services excel
well in Loddon Prison - Use
your strong communication skills and resilience to combat dealing with
difficult prisoners - Complete
a variety of different tasks; from case management to strip searches - Casual
prison officers will also be required to work in Tarrengower Correctional Centre
(female minimum security)
Casual
prison officer vacancies – Tarrengower Prison (female minimum security)
Based on a farm
setting with no prison fences. High focus on rehabiliation and
reintegration back into society and work through providing work opportunities,
TAFE courses and education facilities.
- Casual
Prison Officers are also required to be available to work in Loddon Prison
- Individuals
with various backgrounds such as teaching, community and social work,
retail and customer service, child care and aged care excel well in
Tarrengower Prison - There
are no prison fences; communication, trust and rapport are the key skills
to help these prisoners reintegrate back into society - There
is a strong emphasis on case management including excursions to prisoner’s
houses - Children
are able to live with their mums whilst at Tarrengower when they are the
primary caregiver - Supervise
and assist prisoners with work and education, including sewing, grey hound
rehabilitation and farming. - Use
your strong communication skills to be a mentor to the prisoners - Give your
availability for work based on our two week rotating rosters - Also be
offered short notice shifts
