The Network ANECCA seeks to recruit a qualified and experienced professional to fill an existing post of
Pediatrics NW Psychosocial expert counselor.
Station: Kampala — Uganda, with frequent regional travels.
Reporting: The Psychosocial expert counselor reports to the Executive Director of ANECCA.
Responsibilities:
The position holder is responsible for carrying out various trainings and mentoring activities on Pediatrics Psychosocial care, support and counseling skills to various health care providers throughout Africa region where ANECCA is operating in the scale up programs of Pediatrics HIV and PMTCT under the general supervision of the Executive director of ANECCA.
Required skills and experience
This opportunity requires a professional who demonstrates a high level of expertise in psychosocial counseling for pediatric HIV patients and their parents or care givers.
Minimum requirements are:
• Social study Degree with public health or nursing background/experience
• Psychiatry / psychology study will be an added value
• At least five years of experience as Pediatrics HIV expert counselor in government or non government institution
• At least five years experience of giving trainings or teaching in medical , nursing or related social institutions on pediatrics HIV and /or infectious diseases
