PIH/IMB has worked in Rwanda since 2005, partnering with the Rwandan government and Clinton Health Access Initiative to strengthen primary health systems in three rural districts, namely: Kayonza, Burera and
Kirehe.

Partners In Health is seeking to recruit highly competent candidates to fill the positions indicated table below.

I. Position Title: Research Assistant

Role Description:
• Extract detailed data from patient charts in regard to HIV treatment dates, regimens, and clinical outcomes. The data extraction will be conducted at three MOH health centers (Zaza, Kibungo, Gahini) and the RA will be required to travel to these sites.
• Transfer extracted data from written forms into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. The estimated time for this project is approximately 3 weeks (15 work days). This includes a two day on-site orientation to the data extraction work with the Principal investigator of the project.

Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in medicine or public health
• 2 years experience in data collection
• Excellent Communication skills
• Excellent Computer skills in Excel, Word and powerpoint
• A clinical understanding of detailed HIV treatment regimens is preferable
• Should be a Rwandan national

II. Position Title: Social Worker Assistant

Role Description:
• Perform weekly visits to different schools on a rotating basis to ensure all students are attending classes regularly, in good health and communicating any issues in a timely manner
• Compile and update all profiles and pictures of all the Komera project sponsored students.
• Accompany social workers on home visits to help assess living environment and assemble a complete list of profiles and background on the scholars’ families.
• Develop and implement a weekly girls club after school for local girls at the PIH Training Center. Topics to include English language training and empowerment.
• Report back to the Executive Director via a standardized monthly report on school visits and the scholars.
• Work closely with the local government to ensure all procedures are being met, help identify new vulnerable scholars, participate in Komera and PIH events and help facilitate new programs.
• Develop and M & E assessment program to help measure the progress and accomplishments of the program and the scholars.

Requirements:
• A1 ( 2 years post secondary education) in management, Public Health, Clinical Psychology or related field or A2 Nurse
• 3 years experience in Social work
• Ability to work independently
• Innovative with capacity to multi-task
• Strong organizational skills and a demonstrated competence to assess priorities and manage a variety of activities in a time-sensitive environment
• Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member in a complex and fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in Kinyarwanda & English required, French is an asset.
