Organizational Overview
Women for Women International provides women survivors of war, civil strife and other conflicts with the tools and resources to move from crisis and poverty to stability, self-sufficiency, and active citizenship, thereby promoting viable civil societies.
Founded in 1993, Women for Women International (WfWI) is dedicated to providing women survivors of war with the tools and resources to move from crisis and poverty to stability and self-sufficiency, thereby promoting viable civil societies. WfWI currently works in eight countries: Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Rwanda and South Sudan. During the last 19 years, WfWI has transformed the lives of more than 320,000 socially-excluded women and distributed over $103 million in direct aid and microcredit loans, benefiting more than 1.7 million family and community members in the process. In 2011, over 78,549 women in all eight countries received program services, with more than 40,000 sponsors from 94 countries across the world. WfWI has over 600 employees worldwide, and each of our country offices are fully staffed by women and men from the local community.
Purpose
Women for Women International desires a marketer or product manager with expertise in sustainer programs to manage our Sponsorship program, which is at the core of Women for Women International’s mission. This manager will be responsible for the sponsorship product and experience, including the design of sponsor communications across all channels as well as any direct communication with sponsors. The Sponsorship Manager will also evaulate the current state of the program and develop strategies to help the organization reach its strategic goal of rapidly growing enrollment and retention in our transformational education program.
Duties and Responsibilities
Revenue Generation
●Achieve significant and sustainable growth in the absolute size and marginal benefit of WfWI’s sponsorship program
●In collaboration with the marketing and operations teams, set the strategic direction, goals and metrics for all aspects of operations and retention of sponsors
●Work with channel managers on new ways to test and implement sponsorship/subscription products to maximize overall net revenue and LTV to WfWI, considering tradeoffs related to other revenue streams
●Monitor the performance of existing products including revenue, retention, acquisition, satisfaction, and other metrics
●Research and manage implementation of new sponsorship products
●Create and manage a VIP sponsorship program
Communication
●Create and execute the vision for the sponsor experience
●Ensure coordination with, and full leveraging of, other revenue stream activities across the organization
●Work with channel managers to design communications vehicles like Customer Service responses, website function and content, emails, paper mailings
●Define metrics for measuring success of communications
●Clearly communicate goals for program to Operations team and collaboratively define scope of work ●Work with Programs and Communications teams at headquarters and in the field to learn what learn what content we have that can be effectively (both in terms of cost and impact) deployed to enhance the sponsor experience
Financial and Administrative Management
•Ensure that costs are managed to budget and cost-saving opportunities are identified and executed upon
•Ensure invoices are accurate and paid on a timely basis
•With Data and Analytics team, translate information captured into supporter records
•Use data to drive strategy and performance
•Manage sponsorship resources related to retention and WfWI resources in a way that delivers maximum benefit to WfWI
•Prepare and maintain dynamic revenue models that sync easily with overall organizational financial models
•Maintain a clear understanding of competitive sponsorship products offered by similar organizations and regularly benchmark WfWI performance against them
Management

Qualifications and Skills
●Proven ability to design, implement and manage sponsorship, mid level giving, commercial subscription or membership program
●Proven ability to generate significant and reliable net revenues
●Comfort with managing a large population of supporters (use of performance metrics and KPIs) ●Online and offline small donor experience, ideally across a wide range of different product offers ●Ability to work across revenue streams to maximize cross-selling potential
●Ability to rapidly and effectively re-prioritize activities to address changing institutional needs
●Good understanding of communications, brand and campaign management
●Experience using multiple channels – direct mail, online, events, social media to drive donation and engagement
●Demonstrable understanding of and passion for women’s issues, conflict, and international development
●Self Starter
●Positive attitude (must not be a pathology/problems oriented person, but someone who focuses on solutions and how to achieve them
