Wellspring Academy School Principal/Headmaster Job Vacancy in Rwanda

JOB VACANCY- Principal for Wellspring Academy (a
private, Rwandan school)

and equip students to become highly skilled, Godly leaders, and agents of
community transformation.

Qualifications:

1. At least a recognized bachelor’s degree in education (or
appropriate equivalent); any postgraduate training (master’s degree) is a big
advantage
2. At least ten years of direct experience in the area of education
3. At least five years in senior level leadership within an educational
organization
4. Rwandan citizen who is at least 35 years old 

Christian background:

1. A committed, born-again Christian who understands and
agrees with the school’s statement of faith
2. A person who embodies and believes in the principles of the vision and
mission statements 

Personality and skills:

1. Exemplary in character (kind and firm, approachable and
in authority)
2. Organized and have the capacity to make decisions
3. An inspirational leader who can value and motivate staff, students, and
parents
4. Totally fluent (both speaking and writing) in English and Kinyarwanda
5. French fluency is also desired 

Job Summary: The principal will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing school functions at both the secondary and
primary sections through consistent contact and collaboration with the
school’s two deputies (primary and secondary).
2. Overseeing the school’s budget and financial concerns while collaborating
closely with the school’s Director of Finance and Administration.
3. Creating and implementing a school development plan to fulfill the
vision/mission and goals.
4. Facilitate a conducive and effective learning environment and work with
other staff to develop and maintain high academic standards for themselves and
for children that are in line with the vision and mission.
5. Effective and caring management and supervision of all staff, students, and
resources
6. Monitoring the delivery of teaching to make sure it is in line with
objectives while also teaching strategies for academic excellence in staff
development meetings.
7. Work as a team with other staff members to create a happy working
atmosphere.
8. Reporting to the school board on the school’s progress and other pertinent
issues.
