University of Leicester is one of the UK’s leading
university which offer two fee-waiver studentships in the field of law
for October 2013 entry to its Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme.

Studentship is available for the full-time, part-time, or distance
learning PhD in Law programme. Applicants must have a first-class or
high upper second-class honours degree in Law. The studentships will pay

Eligibility: Applicants must have a first-class or high upper second-class honours
degree (or equivalent qualification) in law or a relevant discipline and
meet the University’s standard English language entry requirements. It is expected
that applicants will have a relevant Masters degree (with an average
coursework mark of above 60% and a dissertation mark of at least 65%) or
be able to show evidence that they will achieve this before October 2013.
-These studentships are open to suitable UK/EU and International
(i.e., outside the EU) applicants. Please note though that the awards cover
tuition fees at the UK/EU rate only. International applicants (and those not
eligible to pay UK/EU tuition fees) must demonstrate at the time of their
application that they can fund the difference in tuition fee rates.
-These studentships are for full-time, part-time, or distance
learning study and applicants must be able to commence their studies in
October 2013. Please note that owing to UK visa restrictions, part-time
registration is not available to international applicants.

(i.e., non-EU) applicants and are available for the full-time, part-time,
or distance learning PhD in Law programme. The studentships will pay UK/EU
tuition fees for three years (pro-rata for part-time and distance learning
registration) and include a research training support grant worth up to £600
and payable in instalments over the registration period.
