World Vision International (Rwanda) is a Christian,
Child focused, Humanitarian Development Relief and Advocacy Non­governmental
Organization implementing projects/programmes in over 13 district of Rwanda.
World Vision seeking to him a qualified, dedicated and experienced national to
fill the following, position:
POSITION : CHRISTIAN COMMITMENT MANAGER
REPORTING TO : INTEGRATED OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
LOCATION : KIGALI, WVR, HEAD OFFICE
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To provide Leadership In developing a strategy chat
will enhance nurturing environment for WV Rwanda stakeholders (staff,
beneficiaries, etc) end develop strategic partnerships with the Church and
other Faith Based institution in MI WVR programs.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop a Christian Commitment strategy to
    guide Integration of CC principles in programming and facilitate its
    implementation
  • Advice through participating In assessments,
    designs and evaluation WVR’s development program/projects to ensure that
    CC strategy integrated in to our program model.
  • Coordinate Channels of Hope program y coordination
    of HIV/AIDS staff through monitoring the implementation of the program and
    holding trainings.
  • Take the lead in developing spiritual nurture
    materials and share them with staff to guide their spiritual formation and
    nurture.
  • Represent the Christian Commitment unit in
    trainings, orientation and promote the good image of World Vision as a
    Christian organization.
  • Develop and maintain networking with churches
    and faith base organizations and prepare ground for capacity building,
    sub-granting and any other partnership.
  • Identify effective church leaden from the
    whole spectrum of churches. Create platforms to amplify their voices and
    expand their godly influence on issues relating to holistic mission
  • Develop and monitor the implementation of a
    staff nurturing plan coloration with the HR department on staff nurturing
    based on the real need of staff and the strategy of the office
  • Participate in the development of, a sound
    staff care program with HR department in advising on the counseling and
    pastoral cart.
  • Represent WV Rwanda in International forums
    and meetings especially in regard to Christian commitment issues.
  • Represent and local, for WVR in forums locally
    particularly those that are church-related to discuss issues
    related to faith and development in the country
  • Liaise with Support Offices to develop projects
    in the area of Christian Commitment and Church partnership.
  • Produce quarterly and annual reports for the
    supervision.
Qualifications:
Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills Experience
The following knowledge. skills and abilities may
be acquired through a combination of formal  schooling, self-education, prior experience or
on-the-job training.
  • Bachelors degree in management, rural
    development and diploma in theology
  • At lean 3 year experience in a development
    project combined with church ministry.
Technical Skills & Abilities:
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, innovate,
    plan and manage programs as well as transfer knowledge and skills.
  • Personal commitment to Christ and proven
    church/ Christian leadership experience.
  • Good understanding of and respect for diverse
    churches and Christian organizations in the country and ability to
    effectively work with churches with different doctrines and traditions.
  • Must have proven analytical, problem solving
    skills and ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Must be well respected in the church and
    outside the church
  • Exemplary Christian character, interpersonal
    relationship skills and willingness to learn.
  • Good knowledge of WV’s ethos. philosophy of
    work, and CORE documents.
  • Must have good Interpersonal and communication
    skills both orally and 3, writing
