1. HEAD OF
CORPORATE BANKING (MILD) JOB REF: KCBR CB 01/2014
The position
Reporting to the Managing Director KCB Rwanda, the
job holder will be responsible for the strategic leadership and management of
the bank’s Corporate Business whilst maintaining a high level of customer
satisfaction. The position will involve the management of teams to deliver
financial solutions that meet the needs and expectations of our existing and
potential Corporate clients. The job holder will be required to market for
corporate business for the Bank and ensure growth in the Region’s portfolio in
order to maximize the Bank’s revenue.
Key responsibilities
The major responsibilities of this position will
be:
  • To offer strategic leadership and direction of
    the Bank’s Corporate business in line with the Bank’s overall strategic
    intentions and business plans.
  • To grow corporate client and revenue base,
    through formulation and marketing of appropriate financial solutions to
    corporate, institutional and selected SME clients.
  • To lead and manage the teams operating in the
    Corporate Units while ensuring adequate and relevant training, leadership
    development and performance management of the unit’s staff
  • Proactively lead acquisition and development
    of long term client relationships within the Rwandan market in order to
    achieve excellence in customer service and customer loyalty.
  • Continuously evaluate and cross-sell financial
    solutions to clients in order to maximize profitability, while ensuring
    that all the risk management principles are being adhered to at all times.
  • To be the primary point of contact for all the
    Corporate customers and to build effective Cross- functional relationships
    within the bank in order to deliver effective service.
  • To foster a strong and robust relationships
    with all the key stakeholders of the Bank including but not limited to
    shareholders, customers, regulators and the community at large.
  • To ensure delivery of world class customer
    service to the bank’s corporate client base.
  • To ensure regular product innovation and
    delivery to the market in order to meet customers’ needs on a timely
    basis.
  • To maintain a good loan book and ensure
    profits are increased, accounts out of order are reduced and
    downgrading/provisions are reduced.
The Person
For the above position, the successful applicant
should have:
  • University Degree from a recognized
    institution. Possession of a postgraduate degree or professional
    qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Relationship
    Management and at least 3 years’ experience in credit and a proven record
    of successfully managing and growing a portfolio of corporate banking
    clients.
  • Extensive and thorough knowledge of the
    financial services dynamics as well as specific knowledge of banking
    products and services.
  • Complete knowledge and clear understanding of
    the bank’s credit processes and operating systems;

2. HEAD OF
HUMAN RESOURCES- KCB RWANDA (MILD) JOB REF: KCBR HR 02/2014
The position
Reporting to the Managing Director KCB Rwanda, the job
holder will be responsible for providing leadership and coordination in the
Bank’s Human Resource functions. The job holder will also develop and implement
KCBR corporate human resource strategy, policies, procedures and programs.
While this function will be based in Rwanda, the job holder will play a key
role in implementing appropriate synergies between the local Human Resource
function and other KCB Group entities.
Key responsibilities
  • In conjunction with all key stake holders,
    develop and execute an effective Human Resource strategy that delivers
    short and long term Human Resource objectives.
  • Design, recommend and maintain an
    organizational structure and staffing levels suitable to accomplish the
    Bank’s goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the management of staff compensation,
    benefits, reward and recognition.
  • Apply HRM expertise and knowledge to maximize
    the potential of human capital within a strategic context.
  • Provide the appropriate level of
    organizational leadership in talent and succession planning, talent
    acquisition, retention and learning and development of employees.
  • Promote a performance culture by driving
    execution of the performance management framework in order to achieve high
    Business performance.
  • Provide strong HR consultancy, advice and
    coaching to line managers in order to effectively diagnose HR issues and
    act proactively to resolve them.
  • Develop and manage HR annual budgets and
    perform periodic cost and productivity reviews.
  • Recommend and establish company policies and
    procedures that are compliant with Rwanda labor regulations and best
    practice.
  • Provide guidance and advice to managers on
    compliance with disciplinary procedures.
The Person
The successful applicant should have the following
minimum qualifications and experience:
  • A relevant University Degree from a recognized
    institution.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in management
    and general HR experience, 5 of which must be in a senior management HR
    role in a busy organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of end
    to end HR functions – Recruitment, Performance Management, Employee
    Relations, Learning & Development, Compensation and Benefits.
  • Experience in the implementation of a wide
    range of process improvement activities.
  • Must display superior verbal, written and

3. HEAD OF
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY –KCB RWANDA (MILD) JOB REF: KCBR IT 03/2014
The position
Reporting to the Managing Director KCB Rwanda, the
role holder will be responsible for the development and implementation of the
bank’s Information Technology strategy to drive the achievement of the bank’s
technology based business goals. The holder will play a pivotal role in driving
implementation of technologies that bring business innovation and high
standards of customer service quality and data security. While the role will be
based on Rwanda, The role holder will ensure appropriate synergy between the
local business and other KCB Group -entities.
Key responsibilities
  • Develop and implement IT strategy in
    conjunction with KCB Group Head Office
  • Provide leadership to the IT team to achieve
    the bank’s objectives
  • Plan for appropriate training to keep updated
    with the latest technologies and banking trends
  • Efficient and timely deployment of appropriate
    IT systems and solutions
  • Collaborate with business teams to analyse
    business requirements with a view to providing adequate hardware and
    supporting software solutions in line with business requirements while
    ensuring value for money in hardware and software procurement.
  • Prepare, plan and manage IT
    Capital/Operational expenditure budgets
  • Act as the first point of contact for all IT
    related service management issues
  • Enforce the bank’s ICT policies for good IT
    governance by ensuring that installations, systems configurations and user
    practices adhere to the industry standard and best practices

MANAGER-HUYE BRANCH (MLD) JOB REF: KCBR BM 04/2014
The position
Reporting to the Regional Business Manager KCB
Rwanda, the job holder will be Responsible for the overall leadership,
Management, Growth and Profitability of the Branch Business and Implementation
of an Efficient and Effective Operational, Risk Management, Customer service
and Sales Culture.

  • Develop periodic branch retail strategy in
    order to ensure the sustainability business growth;

5. MANAGER
PROJECT & QUALITY ASSURANCE JOB REF: KCBR PM 05/2014
The position
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the purpose of
this job is to establish and implement project management standards,
methodology and guidelines to facilitate the Bank’s ability to effectively deliver
on its strategy within estimates and expectations. The role will provide
technical capacity in identifying, evaluating and developing methods and
procedures that are efficient, effective and meet good business practice while
maintaining excellent communication with senior management to ensure smooth
running of all projects undertaken by the various project teams.
Key responsibilities
  • Create and maintain a consistent world class
    project management methodology and process for all project management
    engagements across the Bank
  • Train, certify if possible, coach, and mentor
    project managers in not only project management, but also project delivery
    to ensure skill mastery and consistency in planning and execution
  • Manage corporate and project priorities
    matching business goals with appropriate technology solutions and provide
    increased resource utilization across the organization matching skills to
    project needs
  • Provide centralized control, coordination, and

AND BUSINESS ANALYST: JOB REF: KCBR BA 06/2014
The position
Reporting to Head of Finance, Strategy and Business
Analyst will play a key role by providing advice and guidance on business
decisions and areas for Improvement. He/she will do this through the
identification, analysis and reporting on financial information to assess
current and future performance of the business. This is a central role that
will have exposure to a variety of industries and be key person in growing our
business.
Roles and responsibilities may include:
  • Assist with general financial analysis within
    assigned business unit.
  • Provide business unit management with
    interpretive and predictive financial information to make business
    performance assessments.

Qualification /Experience
The following personal qualifications and

  • Holder of a First Degree from a recognized

    relevant professional qualification i.e CPA, CA or ACCA
  • Possession of a Master’s Degree in Business
    Administration and other professional banking qualifications will be an
    added advantage i.e. ACIB
  • At least 5 years working experience in a
    medium or large Accounting/Finance Department, with at least 3 years in a
    Management role;
