Role summary:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Finance and
Administration Manager will oversee financial management and accounting
services of the company operations along with all activities relating to
Resources and Administration. The Finance and Administration Manager will be
expected to advice the General Manager and Board on financial issues and lead
the annual program budgeting processes; develop internal monitoring and
evaluation mechanisms for internal approval.

- Work with the General Manager on RGCC
strategic vision including fostering and cultivating stakeholder
relationships, as well as assisting in the developments and negotiation of
purchase and sales contracts. - Supervise the Finance Department: Oversees all
company accounting practices, including budgeting, payments, revenue
stream, financial reports; tax and audit functions. - Assist in performing all tasks necessary to
achieve RGCC’s mission and help execute staff succession and growth
plans. - Research, analyse and report on trends,
opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth. - Assist the Operations Manager on all strategic
and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit
analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding. - Train the Finance Unit and other staff on
raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters. - Ensure measuring and controlling business risk
through an effective financial risk management framework; - Review financial reports to ensure that the
information is endorsed as to its completeness, reliability and accuracy. - Participate in developing new business,
specifically: assist the General Manager in identifying new funding
opportunities, the drafting of prospective programmatic budgets, and
determining cost effectiveness of prospective service delivery. - Assess me benefits of all prospective
contracts and advise the General Manager and the Operations Manager on
programmatic design and implementation matters. - Ensure adequate controls are installed and
that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all
purchases may pass audits requirements. - Work with the Operations Manager to ensure
effective delivery of RGCC through cost analysis support, and compliance
with all contractual requirements. - Oversee the management and coordination of all
fiscal reporting activities including: RGCC’s revenue/expense and balance
sheet reports, reports to shareholders, development and monitoring of
contract - Oversee all purchasing and payroll activity
for staff and clients. - Develop and maintain systems of internal
controls to safeguard financial assets of the company - Monitor banking activities
- Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the
company’s needs. - Review internal financial management reports
prior to release: - Oversee the production of monthly reports
including financial statements and cash flow projections. - Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts
Receivable and ensure a disaster recovery plan is in place - Assist in the design, implementation, and
timely calculations of wage incentives, commissions, and salaries for the
staff. - Oversee business insurance schemes
- Supervise staff, including regular progress
reviews and plans for improvement.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Have significant expertise in financial
management, including the ability to: i) maintain good financial
management systems and processes; ii) interpret, analyze and present
financial and related Information to facilitate understanding of options
to resolve complex problems and take available opportunities - Effectively communicates on financial matters,
specifically with the General Manger and other staff who nave day today
accountability for the use of resources and the delivery of outputs. - Effective negotiation and change management
skills. - Effectively contribute to strategic
initiatives, promote the internal control framework and provide financial
advice within the company. - Organizational development, human resources,
and program operations. - Foster and cultivate business opportunities
and partnerships. - Create and assess financial statements and
budget documents. - Recognize and be responsive to the needs of
all clients of the company - Communicate effectively in both written and
verbal form.

Education and Experience
Education and Experience
- Have a Master’s degree in Management, Finance
or Accounting or/and a bachelor’s degree with a Processional accounting
qualification either CPA/ACCA. - Have an experience of at least Five years in
financial management. - Having 2- 3 years’ experience in a senior
management position in an agri-business Company will be an advantage.
