growth, we are looking for “Agricultural Associate” to start as soon as
possible.

Duties
and Responsibilities

Background
Research
Research
- Conduct
research and liaise with other agricultural institutions in Rwanda to
informal trial questions. Past research examples have included yield
research analysis for Rwanda’s staple crops, soil improvement products and
market crop analysis.
Agricultural
Station Management
Station Management
- Improve
agricultural research station protocols and develop a toolkit to be used
in launching additional research stations across Rwanda’s agro-ecological
zones. - Manage
Western Rwanda Ag stations with local staff. - Launch
2-3 new Ag stations for the coming season. - Prioritize
research questions based on potential farmer impact and develop trial
plans. - Analyze
data and compile trial reports.

- Review
our agricultural trainings that are disseminated to 100,000+ farmers per
year. - Develop
new training materials based on research and trials.
Our
Requirements
Requirements
- Agricultural
research and farming experience. - Demanding
professional work experience or successful entrepreneurial experience. - Leadership
experience at work or outside work. - A
willingness to commit to living in rural Rwanda. - Top
performing undergraduate background especially in agriculture related
field like soil science, agronomy or masters in agriculture. - Strong
data analysis skills including excel and Stata/R. - Humility:
We are looking for passionate professionals who combine strong leadership
skills with good humor, patience and a humble approach to service. - Languages:
English Fluency, French and Kinyarwanda Preferred.
