Role
overview
VSO
Rwanda is in the process of hiring a Finance
and Grants Manager
. The Position will lead the finance and
grants position of Rwanda and will manage a team of 3-4 members. The Manager
will be in charge of the overall finance management of VSO Rwanda and will
ensure that VSO Rwanda complies with all financial requirements of the donor
well as VSO International, ensure that there is robust grant management system
in place, strengthen the finance control systems, ensure that all the local
partners are complying with donor guidelines as well as have a robust finance
system. The position reports to the Country Director.
Skills,
qualifications and experience required
The
ideal applicant should have at least 5 years of work experience, out of which 2
years should be in a supervisory positions. The candidate should ideally hold a
Master’s degree in Commerce or Finance or an equivalent degree. Candidature of
applicants with a Bachelor’s degree but with significant experience may be
considered.
The
Applicant should have the knowledge of working in computers and MS Office
skills, with the ability to work in online finance software like SUN.
The
position needs to be urgently and VSO will interview shortlisted candidates on
an ongoing basis so that the position can be filled as soon as possible.
Salary
and benefits for this role are as follow:
  • Gross
    monthly starting salary: Competitive
    but within VSO salary bands
  • 100%
    Medical cover for yourself and legal dependents
  • 3.5%
    of private pension benefit/ provident fund
