Job Description
We are looking for a
candidate with strong leadership and technical skills to spearhead our M&E
strategy and support accountability to our program participants. Components of
this strategy includ
e our transition to mobile-based data collection, improving
data analysis, and strengthening intra-organizational learning. The position
will also include serving as the point person for an anticipated RCT with a
planned start in 2016. We have an M&E team of around 30 individuals,
including HQ staff and field-based data collection agents.
General
Responsibilities
- Strengthen
and lead the GHI M&E team’s strategy around data collection,
attribution, analysis, and learning - Provide
regular guidance to M&E staff through field visits, meetings,
trainings and performance reviews - Advise
GHI on programmatic adjustments based on data - Oversee
internal and external (local government) program reporting - Innovate
around new methods of collecting, analyzing and using data
Qualifications
Experienced,
motivated professional with 4+ years of relevant work experience, preferably
having worked within one or more of the health, nutrition, and agriculture
fields in an international development setting. We are looking for a candidate
that will help take our organization to the next level in terms of understanding
and responding to our impact.
- Advanced
degree in international development, development economics, public health,
nutrition, agriculture, statistics or related field. - Strong
professional experience in a related field, preferably having worked in
nutrition and/or public health. - Quantitative
and qualitative research methodology skills, preferably experience using
STATA and/or SPSS. - Prior
field–based M&E experience is required. - Leadership
experience at work, or outside of work. - Strong
academic record in related subjects (statistics, international
development, public health, development economics, etc.) - Humility,
integrity, patience and a positive attitude to work in collaboration with
our wonderful staff and our partners in the Rwandan government.
