ACDI/VOCA currently has approximately 49 projects in 30 countries and total
revenues of $151 million.

Subject
Matter Experts, Nguriza Nshore Activity
ACDI/VOCA
is currently preparing for a Nguriza Nshore Activity in Rwanda funded by
USAID. The anticipated project will facilitate emergence of a dynamic off-farm
sector and will strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem, business development
services and access to finance. By alleviating constraints to entrepreneurship
and expanding investment opportunities, off-farm businesses will be expanded in
both urban and rural environments and will stimulate employment opportunities
for rural populations. This forward-thinking project will increase private
sector competitiveness through interventions in financial and enterprise
development sectors. The Nguriza Nshore Activity is envisioned to start in
2018.
For
long- and short-term consulting opportunities, ACDI/VOCA is promptly seeking
experts with the experience in the following management and technical areas:
  • Access
    to finance
  • Institutional
    strengthening of micro-finance institutions and SME finance providers
  • Commercial
    banking and loan portfolio management
  • Value
    chain financing, agricultural SME lending,
  • Investment
    facilitation or investment fund management
  • Business
    Development Services and SME/entrepreneurship support
  • Agricultural
    value chain development
  • Gender
    empowerment programming
  • Youth
    employability and vocational skills
  • Governance,
    policy making support and institutional strengthening
  • Monitoring,
    Evaluation (M&E) and Learning
  • Program
    assessments and evaluation studies
  • Human
    capital and workforce development
QUALIFICATIONS
While
each position will have its own operational and technical scope under the
project, overall qualifications will meet the below:
  • Degree
    in business administration, economics, public policy, finance, law,
    international development, human resources or related field; Master’s
    degree or other advanced degree strongly preferred
  • Substantial
    experience in related technical area, including in private sector
  • Experience
    with USAID and/or any other international donor funded project preferred
  • Proven
    ability to facilitate high-value partnerships with communities, private
    and public sector stakeholders
  • Ability
    to work effectively within tight deadlines, excellent analytical and
    report writing skills
  • Experience
    in East Africa desired
  • Fluency
    in English required, professional proficiency in French and/or Kinyarwanda
    preferred
