Field Agent – National Agriculture
Insurance Scheme

Project
Management Unit within the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources in
partnership with Access to Finance Rwanda

The
Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resource

s (MINAGRI) in collaboration with
Access to Finance Rwanda (AFR) have embarked on the establishment of a National
Livestock Insurance Scheme that aims at providing insurance coverage and
financial support to the farmers in the event of death of livestock. The
Livestock Insurance Scheme will act as a protection mechanism to the farmers and
cattle rearers against any eventual loss of their animals’ due to death and
demonstrate the benefit of the insurance of livestock to the people and
popularize it with the goal of attaining qualitative improvement in livestock
and their products and ensuring flow of credit to the agriculture sector and
livestock thereby encouraging farmers to engage in livestock.

It
is in this regard that AFR seeks to recruit qualified and competent individuals
to fill the following positions under the Project Management Unit (PMU) at
MINAGRI that will support implementation of this project:
