Rwanda
Bridges to Justice (RBJ) is a local non-profit organization registered with
Rwanda Governance Board. Using a neutral, and collaborative approach, we work
to strengthen justice institutions and improve Rule of Law through enabling
Access to Justice. Specifically, we work to guarantee the basic legal rights of
ordinary individuals in Rwanda.

Interns
Two (2) intern positions are available at RBJ. We ask interns to commit
with us full-time and for a duration that is no less than three months and no
more than six months.

Purpose
of the Internship programme
The RBJ internship program offers eligible students the opportunity for
personal, professional and academic development as well as acquiring direct
practical experience in criminal justice and criminal defense.

Interns
will be assigned tasks according to the needs of the organization and to their
own areas of interest. They will be involved, inter alia, in:
1. Researching, developing, installing and editing on-line
legal educational modules and information
2. Preparing materials for live and online training events,
including legal education materials, monitoring and evaluation tools, and
reports
3. Monitoring and analysis of training programs and the
training providers
4. Building strategic and collaborative legal partnerships
globally and locally
5. Developing and utilizing social media, social networking,
and other online tools
6. Writing grant proposals
7. Refining the content and branding of RBJ’s promotional
materials – both online (PowerPoint presentations, email newsletters) and
offline (brochures, posters, etc)
8. Preparing for and organizing training, rights-awareness
campaigns and other events
9. Gathering monitoring and evaluation data and compiling
progress reports on RBJ’s activities
10. Writing reports on RBJ’s program work for funders,
individual donors, and for newsletters
11. Managing pro-bono criminal defence cases
