Rwanda Defense Force (RDF) has reported that two military personnel have been in custody since 10 June for charges of criminal wrongdoing against Rugarama village residents, Nyamata Unit, Nyamata Sector in Bugesera District.
The army told the public in a statement released Friday morning that justice would take its course.
“The court hearing shall be held in public at the scene of the alleged crimes, ” the statement said.
RDF also said it firmly opposes any violation by its personnel of Rwandan law, or RDF ethics and values. “Justice, security, and support for the affected community are our utmost priority.”
