Abstract
Renal failure is a medical condition in which the kidney fails to
adequately filter waste products from the blood. It can be classified into two
main categories; the acute kidney injury and chronic disease. Also there is
acute and chronic renal failure in which the acute part may be reversible.
Symptoms of renal failure may vary from person to person and at initial stage
may be not be noticeable, at a chronic stage, symptoms like swelling of hand,
face, feet, difficulty in sleeping, etc. Renal failure can be caused by
accident, interrupted blood supply to the kidney, overuse of common drugs such
as aspirin, ibuprofen and acetaminophen etc. Renal failure can be prevented by
first preventing any case of diabetes and hypertension.  Since they account for two-third of all renal
cases. Renal failure can be managed through diet, a low protein, low sodium,
phosphorus and low liquid diet is required, starch, vegetables, fruits, less
saturated fat and non-dietary substitutes are considered to be given to renal
failure patients.
