Abstract
The study examined the pediatric emergency in
Sapele Okpe Local Government Area, Delta State. In order t have to have a broader
view, few specific objective were drawn for the study which are; to find out
the causes and symptoms of pediatric emergency; and to know the management of pediatric
emergency. The descriptive survey design was adopted in this research work. The
convenient sampling techniques were used to obtain a sample size of one hundred
(100) respondents from a target population of 2,000 persons. The structured
questionnaire was used as the major instrument for data collection; it was
observed that pediatric emergency has some implication, that there are ways of
improving pediatric emergency. Therefore, health care provider should pay more
attention to children health and provide free check up and drugs for children.
