CA Global: Africa Positions has a
client that is in need of a Construction Manger (Mineral Concentrator
Projects)-Liberia
Overview
This role is responsible for the successful construction of the concentrator
plant and its associated infrastructure such as crushers, conveyors, magnetic
separators, thickeners and mills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Uphold the organization’s health, safety and environmental strategies
• Deliver projects on set time lines, milestones, budgets, tendering for
contractor teams, monitoring of contractor to timelines and budget.
• Carry out and deliver on engineering phases including all drawings,
estimations, timings, suppliers etc
• Deliver project implementation including all aspects of EPCM and
commissioning process to ensure that timelines, costs and capacity
requirements are met
• Effectively lead the project to ensure that it is monitored and tracked
against the key performance indicators through all project stages
• Provide guidance and support direct project team and Liberian management
team to ensure achievement of the project
Requirements:
• Degree in engineering with at least 10 years international experience in
project management and execution.
• Must have extensive experience in iron ore projects and prior experience in
concentrator start-up projects.
• Some experience in port and rail operations would be an advantage.
• Proven ability to successfully manage major projects, develop processes and
control mechanisms for optimization of project activity.
• Solid understanding of all commercial, technical, financial, legal and
administrative issues related to project management.
