The International Rescue Committee
(IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to
survive and rebuild their lives. Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert
Einstein, the IRC offers lifesaving care and life-changing assistance to
refugees forced to flee from war or disaster. At work today in over 40
countries and 22 U.S. cities, we restore safety, dignity and hope to millions
who are uprooted and struggling to endure. The IRC leads the way from

harm to
home. The IRC is one of the world’s leading emergency response and development
organizations, supporting communities in transition in over 28 countries. The
IRC has been present in Liberia since 1996 and is a leader in the health
sector. The IRC supports hospitals and primary health care facilities across
three counties. It ensures access to vital medicines and quality medical care
at all facilities in accordance to the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare
(MOHSW) national standards. The IRC’s emergency obstetric and neonatal care

mortality, as outlined in the national strategy, through provision of
comprehensive EmONC services. Additionally, the IRC currently implements a
project that integrates family planning services into routine primary care. The
