Job Description
We have now expanded our global presence to establish our office in Bangalore, India. We are looking for talented individuals to build a career with us as Research Analysts for the Indian market. If you have excellent numeracy skills, a keen interest in market research, and a desire to be at the forefront of providing business analyses on the dynamics of India’s FMCG industries, Euromonitor International wants to hear from you.

THE ROLE
Based in our Bangalore office, the Research Analyst will directly research and commission projects to analysts based across multiple regions in India. You will build expertise in a vast range of FMCG industries through conducting trade interviews with stakeholders, undertaking desk research and engaging in data building, data analysis and market reporting. You will have full ownership of the industry research that you are assigned. You will assess the performance of large and small competitors to identify geographic, regional, corporate and product opportunities. You will also lead and guide India’s regional analysts in producing regional and city coverage, ensuring its credibility and coherence at international level. You will need to work with our publication schedules to ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner and to our exacting high quality standards. Full training will be provided.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
To succeed as a Research Analyst, you are an individual who boasts the following:
o A degree in economics, marketing, political science, statistics or other related field
o A proven track record in conducting trade interviews and doing secondary research
o Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
o Good knowledge of India’s macro and socio-economic trends
o Strong understanding of FMCG developments in India’s first-tier cities, particularly Mumbai and/or Delhi
o Strong interest in FMCG industries ranging from food & beverages, beauty and personal care, health care, retail, finance, travel and foodservice.
o Computer literacy, with good experience of Excel and Word
o Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritise effectively
o Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
o Excellent communications skills
o Creativity and curiosity
o A good team player
o Fluent oral and written English and Marathi/Hindi
o Tenacity and attention to detail
Previous work experience in an Indian FMCG company is not a pre-requisite but would be an added advantage.
