Scope
The Performance and Accountability (P&A) Adviser will lead initiatives and provide advisory support to systematically strengthen the project management , accountability, and learning practices across our international programmes. The Adviser will be located in the Performance and Accountability Team, working alongside two other P&A Advisers and reporting to the Head of P&A.

The Adviser will manage a portfolio of performance and accountability work, allocated according to thematic and geographic experience.

High priority themes include: strengthening BRC’s project cycle methodology and tools; advising programmes and building staff/partner project management capacity; facilitating organisational and programmatic learning; promoting accountability to beneficiaries (AtB); anticipating new performance and accountability priorities; engaging with Red Cross/Red Crescent (RCRC) Movement partners and external actors on P&A issues; incorporating quality standards into ways of working; and providing surge capacity in P&A where required.

High priority geographies include: the Middle East ; Asia-Pacific; Sub-Saharan Africa; the Caribbean; and Central and Eastern Europe .

Overall Purpose of the Post
To improve the quality and impact of BRC’s international programming by advising and training staff, delegates and RCRC Movement partners on effective project management , accountability and learning.
Salary: Up to £35,000 inc ILW Contract: Permanent Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
