POSITION: Provincial Operations Manager – Manitoba
Winnipeg, Manitoba – Permanent Full Time
POSITION SUMMARY: In accordance with Society policies and procedures, effectively manages Red Cross operations to meet the Society’s Mission and to provide leadership in formulating and implementing the Province’s goals and strategies in a changing environment. Builds relationships throughout the region with Government, Corporations, Donors and key community partners. Supports internal collaboration, integration & communications within the region. Manages regional human, financial and capital assets and resources to best meet the Society’s Mission and the needs of the region.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum qualifications for this position include completion of post secondary education and three to six years related experience or a combination of education and experience, and
– Strong written and verbal communications skills in English essential; media and public speaking experience required; fluency is a second language an asset
– Proven success in strategic government relationship development, managing relationships and partnerships required.
– Proven track record in strategic planning, budgeting and finance required
– Demonstrated supervisory, leadership and team building skills specifically related to a volunteer based environment required
– Experience working with a diverse population and an understanding of cultural issues a definite asset
– Understanding of fundraising principles and techniques a definite asset
– Excellent computer PC skills including Microsoft Office applications required
– This position is subject to a successful criminal reference check
