At the Health Sciences Authority (HSA), we recognise the enormous challenge posed today by the biomedical sciences and the blurring of boundaries between healthcare products resulting from increasing convergence in the application of medical technology. We are responsible for the quality, safety and efficacy of medicines, medical devices, blood and its products and all health-related products available in Singapore. We provide a comprehensive regulatory service for the evaluation and marketing approval of all therapeutic products. We also provide scientific, investigative and analytical support for vital governmental functions such as forensic expertise for the courts, drug and criminal investigations and the regulation of food safety and industrial and environmental health.
Senior Engineer / Engineer, Facilities Department
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the smooth and efficient facilities operations in Health Sciences Authority’s (HSA) main building & other satellite sites
• Assist the Senior Manager in managing all the contracts for repair, preventive maintenance and services that are outsourced to external contractor
• Attend to users’ requests and draft specifications for repair and upgrading works
• Check and monitor that maintenance works are carried out according to schedule
• Evaluate quotations, endorse job sheets & verify invoices
• Provide technical specifications in the tender of facilities related equipment
• Provide support for all inspection and acceptance activities related to new construction
• Monitor contracted services for repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure cost consciousness.
• Ensure activation of contract renewal
• Assist in Facilities Maintenance during emergencies such as infectious disease outbreak, civil disaster
• Planning and implementation of ad-hoc facility improvement or modification work
• Any other ad-hoc duties
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering with 4 years working experience or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering with 6 years working experience.
• Has experience in plant maintenance and managing of contractors in projects and maintenance
• Knowledge in project management / cost management would be an added advantage
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Good interpersonal skills
• Meticulous and cost conscious
