Job Description
CA Global: Power and Energy (Africa Positions) has a client that is in need of a Project Manager (Heavy Fuel Oil / HFO / Power Station) the position is based in Tanzania.
REQUIREMENTS
• Significant experience in project managing the construction of power plants in difficult, remote environments, preferably HFO
• Managed some of these projects in developing countries such as China, India or Africa
• Technical skills to be able to read site drawings, plans and make technical site decisions
• Must be a fully qualified engineer
• Technical skills to be able to evaluate and drive quality of EPC work
• Skills to be able to rework schedules between EPC and Civil Contractor to get to shortest possible delivery
• Ability to work with multi-cultural EPC and local construction teams
• Excellent team motivation skills
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
• Will manage owner’s team of engineers (QS etc) and oversee / direct EPC & civils
• Will communicate at senior level in order to communicate effectively with Head Office
