Also to create incentives and systems that
encourage and assist young people to contribute in eradication of poverty through local and international volunteering work and bringing together all Tanzanian individuals, families and groups to share national resources for the common good.

CVS-Tanzania is looking for a dedicated, self motivated and highly organized Programme Officer.

Location: Tanga, Tanzania, East Africa.

Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Reviews
• The review process for a program officer includes review of submitted proposals, budgets and grant reports.
• A program officer also reviews and approves the final evaluation plan for funding of a program.

Preparations
• As a program officer, you’ll prepare the presentation for funding recommendations.
• You’ll also prepare program monitoring methods for special projects, and negotiations for specific objectives to be placed in grant contracts.
• Other duties include preparing assigned program areas related to current issues and future goals.

Administrative
• In addition to the review and preparation responsibilities, program officers must perform administrative duties. These include database management, website maintenance and newsletter development.
• You will also create award notification letters for individual programs, handle general correspondence, and compile and analyze data.

Requirements:
Skills & Experiences
• Program officers must possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English language.
• He/ She must be keen problem solvers and highly organized.
• He / She should be energetic, confident and innovative, with original ways to promote a company’s agenda.

AGE: 18 years-50 yrs.

Qualifications
We encourage all candidates who can fit the above criteria to apply for this position. The Programme Officer will not be paid (Just a Volunteer) and should be able to work with us for not less than 6 months. Accommodation for the Programme Officer will be found and paid by us but the Programme Officer will incur other costs.
