Position Description:
The National Health Insurance Fund (NHlF) is a statutory Health Insurance
Scheme established by Act of ‘Parliament No.9 of 1999, to undertake the
responsibility of ensuring medical care service to its members.
The Fund commenced its operations in 200 I. Its Head Office is located at
Kurasini ( Bendera Tatu) Dar es Salaam, and has branch offices in Ilala,
Temcke, Kinodnoni, Morogoro, Dodoma, Moshi, Arusha,
Tanga,lringa,Mbeya,Rukwa,Ruvuma,Mrwara,Mwanza,Mara, Tabora,Kigoma,Zanz.ibar,
Lindi, Singida, Shinyaga, Kibaha, Kagera and Manyara.
NHlF now seeks to recruit dynamic, intelligent and result-oriented Tanzanians
with high integrity, to tin the following vacancy:
Reporting to Chief Internal Auditor
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology. Accounting or its
equivalent with Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) qualification
coupled with three years relevant work experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Advising on the development of risk assessment and annual plan with specific
emphasis Oil IT system and application.
Conducting planned audit fieldwork ill specified areas.
Maintaining and supporting Information Technology Infrastructure and the Audit
Department.
Evaluate information processing systems to determine their efficiency,
accuracy, and completeness.
Analyzing business systems to determine the completeness and accuracy of data
and transactions that have already been processed in different IT systems.
Assessing the Fund’s environment where computers are located to ensure security
procedures are being followed and the technology is operating correctly and
efficiently.
Reviewing hardware and software purchases to ensure these new products will
enable the Fund to meet its objectives and stay within their prescribed
budgets.
Preparing written reports with specific recommendations intended for improving
how computer facilities, software and other- technology is utilized in the
workplace.
Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
