Job Title: Community Outreach Supervisor (Five Posts)

AKHST is seeking to recruit qualified community outreach supervisors, Community
Health Coordinator and Data Manager for joining hands initiative (JHI) project
to improve maternal, New Born and Child Health (MNCH) in five Target Regions In
Tanzania. Through strengthening ” Community Based And Quality MNCH
Services, Capacity Building at Primary Health Care Level and Strengthening the
Link with the referral services, the Project will work towards addressing the
key barriers to MNCH that are primarily responsible for causing poor health
outcomes for women of reproductive age and children under five years in
Tanzania. Competitive compensation commensurate with experience. Excellent
interpersonal & communications skills are essential with fluency in both

Key Responsibilities.
The Community Outreach Supervisor will ensure linkages between the community
and health facilities, ensure all appropriate MNCH related equipment,
medicines, vaccinations, education materials, etc are In place at outreach
sites before each visit, coordinate proper management of mobile MNCH activities
and liaise closely with the JHI MNCH team and outreach teams, ensure good
relationships with the community (especially women and community leaders) ,
organize and strengthen the team of community health workers / volunteers and
supervise outreach activities, coordinate and participate in campaigns
according to plan and facilitate linkage of MNCH services with health posts and
include CHWs in MNCH activities.
Academic/Education Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Advanced Diploma or Degree in Public health, Social Sciences, Development
Studies, Project Management or equivalent qualifications from recognized
University; 2-5 years experience in Community management and partnership,
ideally in a clinical setting.
