Position Description:
The Roads Fund Board is a Government Institution under the Ministry of Works
established by the Roads Toll (Amendment) No.2 Act of 1998 Revised Edition, cap
220. The Board hereby invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians
to fill the position of Principal Procurement and Logistics Officer at its
office:
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Head of Procurement Unit (PMU);
Secretary to the Tender Board;
Responsible for preparation of Tender Documents;
Plans and coordinates all procurement/purchasing activities of the Board;
Develops appropriate systems, procedures and guidelines for the procurement
function in accordance with the relevant Acts and Regulations;
Responsible for contracts administration including coordination of contracts
preparations and issuing of approved contracts;
Liaising with suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of
goods and services as per relevant contract;
Ensures that efficiency of stock controls and levels are maintained; and
Any other duties as may be assigned by the Manager Officer.
Qualifications and Experience
Masters degree or equivalent in procurement and registered with PSPTB.
Holder of CSP (T) will have an added advantage.
At least six years work experience at a senior position in procurement in a
reputable organization after attaining the registration status
Knowledge of computer applications Microsoft office particularly Ms Excel,
Ms Word and Power point
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision in a busy environment
Clean employment history – Good communication skills
Age Limit: Not above 45 years
Terms of Engagement:Permanent and Pensionable
