URC has expertise in helping create environments
where communities, health providers, educators, managers, and stakeholders can
make lasting and positive changes in people’s lives. Currently key clients
include the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) the Centres for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). the Global Fund and the Gates Foundation.
URC is currently implementing a project to improve
the diagnosis and management of febrile illness in children under the age of
five years now known as the “Tibu Homa Project” in the Lake Zone-
Tanzania. This is a 5 year project effective April 2011 and addressing a major
public health problem-the differential diagnosis and management of fever in
children. URC is seeking to recruit Quality Improvement Advisors for Mara,
Shinyanga and Simiyu ‘Regions.
Overall Responsibilities:
• The Quality Improvement Advisor will provide
technical support and oversight in the implementation of activities o improve
case management at facility level in the Lake Zone. 
• Working under the direction of the Technical
director, he/she will be responsible for coordinating case management training
through dlMCI and to mentor in quality improvement approaches and other
activities as appropriate and as needed.
• Tibu Homa is looking for people with a first
degree clinical training who have the skills in continuous quality improvement
training and mentorship; have experience working with MOHSW and other
implementing partners I the health sector; experience in performance monitoring
tracking priority QI indicators
• Experience in implementing newborn and child
health programs, including community-case management and a track record in
improving planning, management, and budgeting of health activities is an added
advantage
